The Chat in NOW that failed
I had set up a chat with the MOONS- Sandra, Angie at 7:30pm UK time. For me it was 12:00 am India time. I thought the 12:00 o'clock was fine. I could definitely make it. I had not counted for the uncertain voltage at night that we get in Gurgaon. I tried logging in. I just could not connect to the Internet. It was so frustrating. I felt I have let down my team members. And I could not even tell them that I will not be able to contact them. I did not have their phone numbers. Everything was in various servers around the world- emails, the profile information in NOW, the Chat session in NOW, Skype- only a telephone line would work with the immediacy I needed- expensive but works. So now I think the reliable but most expensive way to contact my team members will be phone. I have to fix the meetings at a time when I am in college rather than home. That means around 10-11:45 am UK time - this would be 3:30 to 4:45 India time.
